Vintage is such a loosely used term these days that the actual meaning has become ambiguous. To set the record straight, the vintage era is generally considered to be the years between 1910 - 1990. So, any piece that originated in these years can be classified as vintage. Anything before that is generally qualified to be an antique. Yes, antique and vintage are two different terms that are often mistakenly used interchangeably.
The first problem encountered by sterling silver owners is scratches. It is easy to avoid this by putting your silver jewelery inside a cloth pouch, which will serve as padding. There are also special tarnish prevention cloths or bags which slow down the tarnishing process. Or, should you have only one jewelry box, place it in a compartment or drawer of its own. Keeping it in a dry, cool place also helps.
Place the leather tape on the work table and apply a line of fabric glue on the edges of the leather tape. Now place the sequin trim over the leather tape and hold it firmly in place. After 3-4 minutes, the sequin trim will be firmly glued on the leather tape. Fold the top and bottom ends of the leather tape about half an inch from the edges and glue the edges together. Now cut a small piece of metallic cord and make a small loop with it. Attach the metallic cord on one end of the leather tape. Sew the metallic button on the other end of the leather tape. Your sequin cuff is ready and you can wear it on your wrist.
